Ronde

Daily stand-up

Fifteen minutes each working day to know who does what and who is stuck, without turning into a status meeting.

  • Every weekday, 15 min
  • 1.5 min to speak, each

Free. Your first meeting starts from this template, and everything stays editable.

Who it’s for

Development, support or operations teams who work closely together and need a short daily sync, on site or remote.

Why this format

  • Short by designNinety seconds each, a visible timer and no warm-up: the meeting ends on time, every day.
  • Blockers surface earlyWhatever stops someone is flagged on day one, and whoever can help says so right away.
  • Yesterday meets todayWhat you planned yesterday comes back in your check-in, so commitments are easy to follow.

What everyone prepares

Before the meeting, each person fills in their check-in in a few minutes, from a computer or a phone. Here is one, as it looks in Ronde.

How a session runs

  1. IntroEveryone joins, in the room or on the call: the screen shows who is here and what is on the agenda.
  2. Round table1.5 min eachEach person in turn shares their check-in, with a timer; the others raise a hand, react or say thanks.
  3. Open topicsThe subjects raised along the way, with the decisions taken and the follow-up actions.
  4. Wrap-upThe minutes are ready: decisions, actions and their owners, everyone’s check-in.

Ready with this template

Each meeting turns modules on or off as it likes; these come switched on.

  • Reactions and signalsEmoji reactions and signals (too long, louder…) flying across every screen.
  • Raised hands and questionsRaise a hand or ask a question during a turn: a questions step follows that turn.
  • TimeboxA topic of its own on the agenda, with its own duration and its notes in the minutes.
  • Decision logEvery “Decision:” line of the notes, from every session, in one searchable list open to the whole team.

Tips to run it well

  • Take detailed problem-solving after the round, with only the people concerned: the stand-up stays at fifteen minutes.
  • Put the shared screen on a display in the room: everyone sees the timer and whose turn is next.
